Mexican hardware and IT services provider Opentec has allied with US authoring and publishing technologies provider Trivantis to facilitate access to Trivantis' e-learning solution Lectora, Infochannel reported.
Trivantis' Lectora technology enables the creation, distribution, and management of multimedia content over HTML, CD, single file .exe, SCORM, AICC, and LRN learning standards but without the need for programming knowledge.
"Around the world, different organizations are using e-learning tools to break down barriers typically associated with internet or intranet content, OpenTec alliance manager Juan Carlos Reyes was quoted as saying.
Lectora is used in more than 28 countries particularly in the insurance and pharmaceutical industries, as well as universities.
Operating mainly in Mexico City, Monterrey and Queretaro, Opentec has a pool of about 2,500 PCs it typically rents out to some 400 clients a year. The company aims to be technologically neutral and offer equipment according to its clients' needs.
